This happened with my nephew, Jonah at his brothers graduation party recently. He was supposed to have a few friends come to play but two of them cancelled last minute the other friend came later. His brother and sister both had friends there to keep them company but he was all alone and sad. So I held him and sweetly told him that sometimes we are disappointed by others, it’s just life and it happens, but just know that you are deeply loved. So I told him I loved him a few times and hugged him. I wanted him to know that he is special even when he feels alone. Eventually his one friend showed up and he was able to forget all about the disappointment from earlier.

My point is that if we continue to dwell on our disappointment and negativity then we will be stuck and eventually give up. but if we acknowledge our disappointments and choose to move forward alone, eventually someone will show up to join our team.
