BE Touched by the Heart ❤️

BE Touched by the Heart

I remember the simpler days before I had my own business working in a spa as an independent contractor. It was a great first job as a massage therapist and I learned a ton from my fellow massage gals. I owe a big THANK YOU to the owner herself as she took me under her wing and taught me so much. She was and is still so passionate about the work, and a little piece of her heart still lingers with me today.

I was thinking about starting my own business but wasn’t sure how it would go and I felt fearful of stepping out on my own. I kept daydreaming… around words. Words to put together to create a catchy business name. I’m sure there were many ideas that I threw around but the only words I remember were Be Touched Massage. Fitting for a massage therapist! ;) It definitely worked out because those words stuck! And I am glad with what I chose. It fits me and I have created a nice brand out of it too.

The keys to focus on are words, love, and passion. Keep reading to see how they come together…

Years later I met a woman named Stacey through our business coach and saw each other on our group zoom calls. I admired Stacey for a few reasons; for her sense of calm plus the fact that she lives in Arizona. I decided to finally reach out to her via FB messenger to inquire about her location in AZ. We had several conversations and scheduled a time to meet for the first time just before Christmas of 2020. I thought it would be a perfect time to meet up since I was spending time in AZ for the month of December. During our lunch meeting we talked and talked… It was a lovely day outside and we shared light and deep conversations. I remember sharing a goal with her about wanting to write more articles in the near future! Well, low and behold I AM DOING IT! Yay! And I must tell you, Stacey has been a big part of why I write today. During our lunch date she introduced me to another lovely woman, Carla Howard. She told me I absolutely have to join her group because Carla and her group are inspiring and supportive. So I joined and she’s right! Sparkle & Rise has been my go-to group for my business needs and support. Between the three of us, there is so much love and passion for our own businesses and it definitely doesn’t stop there. We are excited to support each other's businesses too.

My friend Stacey.

Stacey helps you to Work-IN instead of working-out. You may not understand what this means yet so to get to know Stacey and find out more click here!

I was relaxing at the pool one afternoon going through some emails. One of the emails that came through that day was from Stacey of Balanced Body Reflections. I clicked on the video she included and listened to her inspiration for the month (August 2021) The topic is Awareness.

Two things Stacey taught me the first time we met, is to look at words differently and keep your heart with you at all times. First let’s talk about “words”. She has a neat approach to words, she takes them apart to find a word within a word or even another meaning within the word. At one point as I watched her Awareness video I heard her say, “In all ways” which sparked my brain to hear Always. And here’s where my brain took that.

In “All ways”, there is “Always”

Additional.

Light.

Wonder.

Attention.

Yearning.

Sensational

There’s always room for additional light in our lives. There’s always space to live out our passions. And in all ways we can LOVE with our whole hearts!

For many years I’ve had an affinity for hearts and heart shaped objects. It started when I became a massage therapist and my eyes were opened to more love and new passions in life. Now I’m always in search of heart shaped objects. Over the past few years I’ve met other women who do the same. Stacey is one of those women. It’s just another commonality we share, amongst other things. Stacey also has a heart challenge where you take a cardboard heart with you everywhere you go because “The heart is life”. We don’t leave home without our cell phone or keys, so why would we leave our hearts at home? ❤️

What does this article mean to you? Take some time to think about yourself. Reflect on some of the words in this article and take them apart into pieces then put them back together in a new way. With a new light. How can it give you more passion for love and compassion?

Please comment and share on some words that captured your attention. We’d love to hear your take on this.
